Sangeeta Gupta is a Delhi-based bilingual poet, writer, artist, and filmmaker with an extraordinary creative journey spanning multiple disciplines. She has held 36 solo exhibitions of paintings and authored 36 books, including 19 poetry anthologies in Hindi and 7 in English. Eleven of her poetry collections have been translated into German, Greek, Mandarin, Hungarian, English, Bangla, Dogri, Tamil, and Urdu.

As a filmmaker, she has directed, scripted, and filmed 36 documentaries, with six archived in the Library of Congress, USA. Her creative biography, Song of the Cosmos, encapsulates her artistic and literary legacy. She was recognised as a Highly Commended Poet (2020) in Faith-Centered Poetry by Destiny Poets, UK, and awarded a Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) at the 42nd World Congress of Poets (2023).

Her Memoir Sigma Woman has been published in 2025.

Her 36th solo exhibition, Aadiyogi Shiv: A Journey in Cosmic Indigo, is a landmark in contemporary textile painting. Featured in the Limca Book of Records (2020-2022 edition), it has been a Travelling exhibition showcased at 19 venues across India and abroad in the past three years.   • Beyond her artistic endeavors, Sangeeta Gupta has held significant administrative roles, bridging creativity and governance with remarkable ease. She retired as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (IRS) and served as Advisor (Finance & Administration) at Lalit Kala Akademi and as a Member of the Finance Committee, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi.
